today they claimed to be able to cut my utilitiy bills by 30%. wanted my email, which i declined and told them i thought it was a phoney company, he of course assured me it was not. i see these people are involved in many many different "companies" given what i see here. very smart people.

Called my cell phone. Said it was my last notice from the IRS. I hung up.

boy am I lucky they just phone me every month or two and are not on line when I answer. I guess they expect my number to allow them access to computer etc. but phone number is land line without such.

This is a scam. It is part of the ring of "Telephone Collection Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans". I have contacted my local FBI office as well as the NY FBI office and they have said they are investigating the scam. I have also made a report with the local police department.

Call everyday to my job and cell#. Called over the weekend to my job. left threatening messages. Calls says they are with the legal dept. Took $304 from my checking account thru CHEQUEBOT. I am in the process of a dispute to get my money back. This is ridiculous and someone needs to stop these foreign idiots. They let them come over here and now they are taking over and out of control.

Owner of this number calls my cell phone several times a day but will not leave a message. Once when I did answer the phone they asked me to identify myself but when I asked them to identify themselves and what they wanted they hung up.

I just talked to a Comcast supervisor about this phone hacking problem. He said it is "spoofing" where geeks phish phone numbers and have a computer calling automatically and when they get a hit (someone answers phone) they put it on a list that they sell to telemarketers, etc. I'm not sure this situation is quite that simple. It seems to be more intricate. He said he's seen a lot but never anything quite like this situation. I was given a new and unlisted phone number which he said is about the only way to stop it. I'm also talking to their legal department and with the Attorney General. This, as I have said, is the dark side of the Internet and the problem with putting your information out there.
